 On Jan 13th 2010, I had a live blood cell analysis done on myself. It was fascination to see what my blood looked like up close. I saw a lot of good things and some not so good things. Seeing the not so good things is exactly why I wanted to do this because it allows me to be proactive with my health and correct potential health issues or problematic areas that could develop into something much more serious if I don’t do something about it.
The test uses a high powered microscope and a single drop of blood to provide a wide spectrum of useful information for each patient at a cellular level. This test can detect nutritional deficiencies, digestive disorders, low oxygen levels and many other abnormalities. The test also identifies poor sugar digestion, gout, uric acid, fat metabolism, insufficient B-12/folic acid/iron levels, colon/liver/kidney toxins, yeast, fungus, bacteria, parasites, red/white blood cell malformations, plaque and other useful information.

I love learning new things and I love finding ways to keep ourselves healthy and free of chronic diseases. I have come across and learned about a lot of different modalities in the past few years but what I am about to share is definitely one of the best technologies I have seen so far in preventative care. Medical Thermography is a simple, proven and non-invasive technology that provides early detection of subtle chemical and nervous system irregularities, including abnormal blood vessel activity and abnormal tissue growth. While mammography relies on finding the physical tumor, advanced medical thermography is based on detecting abnormal heat signatures, usually the result of new blood vessel formation and chemical changes associated with a tumor’s growth and development. By detecting variations in abnormal blood vessel activity, a breast thermography, for example, may indicate or suggest a pre-cancerous state of the breast or the presence of an early tumor that is not large enough to be detected by physical exam or conventional mammography.  Over the last year or so I’ve been doing a lot of reading and focused study on the role of vitamin D and health. The topic of Vit D has come up so often in the books I’ve read lately as well as newsletters and lectures I’ve listened to that I thought I would take this time to highlight some of the most important facts about this amazing vitamin call Vitamin D. I will explain all these topics in my video below but here are the basics.

  •  Vitamin D is actually not a vitamin but a Steroid Hormone
  • The specific form of Vitamin D you need to look for is Vitamin D3
  • Most Americans are chronically deficient in Vit D3
  • The best way to get Vitamin D3 is from sun exposure on your skin
  • The best and ONLY time of day you can get vitamin D3 from the sun is during the mid day when your shadow is shorter than your height. Ironically, this is the exact time of day we are told to stay out of the sun.
  • Some illnesses associated with Vit D deficiency… Osteoporosis, Heart Disease, Hypertension, Autoimmune disease, certain Cancers, Depression, Chronic Fatigue, Autism, Diabetes, Periodontal Disease, Muscle weakness and waisting, Stroke.
  •  Two excellent websites to learn more about Vit D are http://www.grassrootshealth.net/   and   http://www.vitamindcouncil.org/
  • according to studies decribed on www.vitamindcouncil.org it is perfectly safe to supplement with at least 2000 IU of Vit D3 per day
  • Ideallaly you want your blood Vit D3 levels to be about 50 to 60 ng/ml
  • when you get a Vit D3 blood test make sure to get the Vitamin D, 25-Hydroxy test.
